Annual Multi Trip
If you usually take more than
one holiday a year it would probably be more cost
effective to take out an Annual Multi Trip policy
instead of taking out separate policies for each
trip. An Annual policy would give you the freedom
to travel as many times as you wish within a 12
month period.

So if you decided, on the spur
of the moment, to spend the week in Paris you
could do so without having to worry about your
insurance. You would also be covered on the policy
if you pre-booked a break of at least two nights
in this country, so you could spend a weekend
in your favourite city or in the country and still
have the reassurance that your policy would come
into force if something went wrong. If you book
an Annual policy you need to specify a start date
and this needs to be the date that you want your
cancellation cover to start. So if you already
have any trips booked and paid for you would need
to start the policy the day that you purchase
it. This would allow the cancellation cover to
come into force should any ill health prevent
you from travelling. As with a single trip, you
need to be a UK resident in order to take out
a policy and you must remember that each trip
you take within the year has to start and end
in this country.
You can choose to have cover
for the year to travel just within Europe, but
if you do travel further afield you would need
to take the Worldwide option which will cover
you to travel anywhere in the world including
the United States. If you purchase European cover
and then decide that you want to travel Worldwide
you can upgrade your policy to include this. All
it takes is a telephone call to us and you would
just pay the price difference between the two
policies. You can adapt our policy to suit your
requirements and take out cover just for yourself,
as a couple or a family unit. If you opt for the
couple or family policy the adults can travel
independently, but children on a family policy
have to travel with one of the insured adults.
The standard number of days you can take out of
the country on any single trip is 21, but if you
are going to take an extended holiday you have
the option to increase the number of days away
at one time to 31 or 45.
When you take one of our annual
policies you can decide whether or not to include
cover for loss or damage to your personal belongings.
For a policy including baggage cover you would
be reimbursed if any of your belongings are lost,
stolen or damaged. It would also cover you in
the event of any personal money or your passport
being stolen. In order to make sure your possessions
are fully covered it is advisable to get adequate
cover for any valuable items. Our standard policy
only covers you for a single item limit of £250,
so if you are taking items such as a digital camera
or expensive jewellery you may wish to contact
your house insurance provider. Many all risk policies
now cover you for this and they normally have
a higher limit on the amount you can claim for.
Again, once you have requested a quotation you
can add or delete the baggage cover.
Many people like to include a
Winter Sports holiday into their travel year and
with an annual multi trip policy you can arrange
to be covered for this. It would enable you to
ski or snowboard knowing that in the event of
an accident on the slopes you would be able to
be taken down off the mountain to safety. All
on-piste skiing is covered as standard and you
can ski off-piste in certain circumstances. As
long as you are skiing within a recognised resort
off-piste is covered, you can ski off-piste outside
the resort but only in the company of a recognised
guide. You are also covered for the loss or damage
of any ski equipment that belongs to you. Hired
ski equipment is covered by the people you rent
from. If you have pre-booked you ski pack this
will also be covered under the terms of the policy.
If it does not snow or if the piste is closed
for other reasons or if there is an avalanche
you would also be covered under this policy.
If you are planning to combine
a holiday with a golf trip, you will be pleased
to know that you can increase your cover to include
this.
Your golf clubs will be insured against any damage
that may arise either whilst playing or when the
clubs are in transit. If you are taken ill and
cannot play golf you will be reimbursed for the
cost of your green fees.
